The practice has a wealth of experience in residential design which encompasses replacement dwellings, projects that involve remodelling of existing homes and large extensions and conversions.

Hayes and Partners has considerable experience with oak frames, not only in the design of new homes and extensions but also in the restoration of historic oak-framed houses and barns. The practice has also completed a range of oak-framed garden rooms and conservatories.

Hayes and Partners has recently won the Home Building and Renovation Award for the Best Timber Framed Home, with Wagtail Cottage, which also won the Readers’ Choice Award.

As the practice office is based in Macclesfield, the majority of projects are predominantly in Cheshire, with particular expertise in negotiating with planners in Cheshire East. The practice’s work has encompassed projects in Lancashire, Derbyshire, Shropshire and London.
