Based in East Sussex, Ecotects (a division of Bradford & Thomas LLP, established over 20 years ago) was formed in order to pursue the vision of beautiful, creative ideas based on the practice’s belief that sustainability is a vital part of building and the landscape.

Timber (green oak in particular) is one of the most sustainable building materials available. It needs understanding and skills from both the oak framer and the architect, who must work together as part of a team with their clients to produce a building which is right for them. As a material, green oak is wonderfully flexible, it is tactile, it is aesthetically pleasing and it is suitable for both traditional and modern forms of construction.

Every oak frame home project offers a fresh perspective and a new opportunity to work together with clients to produce beautiful, sustainable architecture.
