Oak-frame architect profile Tyack Architects Ltd
Tyack Architects combines friendly service and exceptional design quality with a passion for oak-frame and timber post-and-beam houses for old and new properties in Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and beyond.

Tyack Architects is a well established Cotswold-based firm which has become an award-winning team of 20 people, creating bespoke sustainable designs for new and replacement houses, historic and listed buildings, country houses, barn conversions, oak-frame garden rooms, extensions and alterations, private developments and retirement accommodation.
The practice has a highly successful track record for enhancing the design and value of properties at planning stage, especially for sensitive and historic sites.
At an early stage in design, the practice enlists the specialist input of oak-frame companies, to ensure clients benefit from a cost-effective and coordinated transition through planning permission, building regulations, into the construction stage and on to the completed home.
Clients can choose to commission a traditional package of architectural services or progress stage by stage, as best suits the site and circumstances. Clients seeking low energy or passive house design can opt for in-house energy modelling and feasibility from the earliest concept sketch.
