BRD is an established practice of friendly award-winning architectural designers, building engineers and project managers, based in the Essex/Hertfordshire borders. The practice is committed to design excellence whether the client is about to extend his/her home or construct an entirely new oak timber-frame building.

BRD can assist the client in all aspects of the design and building process, from initial concept, to handing over the keys to the front door of a client’s dream oak framed home. BRD has gained experience from the wide range of projects it has been involved with; from designing residential oak frame extensions, original new build oak frame homes with high client requirements, to conversions and multiple builds.

BRD also has wide experience in barn conversions, new oak frame and timber frame construction and has built up an extensive portfolio of these over the years. The practice has worked extensively on listed buildings for developers who have sought permission to convert country houses into apartments and private clients wanting to extend their listed properties. BRD has established a close working relationship with the Local Authorities’ Planning and Conservation Officers.

The practice uses the latest architectural software for all its designs and can also produce CGI’s (Computer Generated Images) to create building visualisations that allow the client and others to understand their new oak frame building prior to construction.
