Oak-frame architect profile Nash Partnership
Nash Partnership individually designs bespoke new oak-framed homes and extensions for its clients, meeting the specific needs of their lifestyle – work and leisure and location.

Established in 1988, initially as a practice working within the heritage conservation sector, Nash Partnership has grown and diversified and is now a thriving practice of more than 35 staff and employs built environment professionals whose specialisations embrace the diversity of projects and sectors across which the partnership now works.
Nash Partnership’s architecture is characterised by simple innovative ideas and well crafted detailing giving careful consideration to the use of materials and good awareness of context. All of the practice’s buildings seek to integrate practical lifestyle and place-making choices.
Nash Partnership is dedicated both to the creation of new buildings and the care or re-use of historic buildings and settings without predetermining ideas on style or image. The practice’s design ethos is to create quality buildings of our time that bring something special to the brief using modern technologies to enhance the quality of life and the experience.
The practice is experienced at working closely with the oak framer to achieve both traditional and modern detailing of oak frame construction, considering and allowing for the seasonal movement, shrinkage and twisting of the oak frame which makes this method of construction so special. Nash Partnership prefers to work in natural materials and natural finishes that respond to the specific requirements of the client and the site, using locally made or sourced materials whenever possible in combination with proven passive energy design and implementation.
