Outline or concept design – The preparation of a sketch scheme allows the project to be costed and for the client’s comments to be addressed. It can also offer an opportunity to gain the views of statutory bodies such as planning authorities or building control.

Scheme proposal – The development of the outline design into a scheme that can be submitted for planning approval and costed more accurately.

Detailed design – The production of information to describe the proposal more fully, including specifications, and sectional drawings to gain building control approval. Key issues such as procurement and finishes are addressed in more detail at this stage.

Production and tender information – To accompany a tender to building contractors DWAD would prepare a package of additional specifications, schedule and detailed construction drawings.

During the construction process - From commencement on site to completion and hand-over DWAD can provide a variety of services up to full inspection and certification to provide support for the contractor and comfort for the employer.
