Mark Evans has over 25 years’ experience and specialises in the design of oak-framed houses and the conservative repair and alteration of listed buildings. His designs can incorporate regional variations in constructional traditions to provide homes which are modern in their layout and performance, whilst integrating the best of traditional oak framing. Mark Evans is also trained in the careful analysis and subsequent conservative repair and adaptation of existing timber-framed buildings.

He offers a personal service with a commitment to excellence, through high-quality design and craftsmanship.

The practice is based in north Worcestershire, with easy access to the motorway network, enabling a cost-effective and efficient service across a wide geographical area.  Commissions range from small-scale design and repair schemes to major projects up to £1 million.

The bespoke designs for new oak-framed houses and alterations to historic buildings aim to be sympathetic and complementary to the site or to the existing buildings, whilst enhancing the whole. The success of a project relies upon careful analysis of the client’s needs and how these can be imaginatively weaved into the design of the oak-framed house. To highlight the crafted nature of the timber framing, the design and planning drawings are undertaken by hand and can include watercoloured perspective views.
